About
The Intersim Library Resources idea was born due to Amehana Ishtari's involvement and positions of co-curator within several Second Life libraries. As she could not offer each library the ability to hear her lectures simultaneously it was decided to record the haiku workshops during their first run. This enables those that had wanted to make it to all of the workshops to listen on their own time, especially as not all of the patrons of a library in a G rated region can access the library in the M rated region where ASA had paid Amehana to teach her first course.
The idea has since evolved beyond the lectures. She now archives readings and writing tips, book reviews, and highlights winners of writing contests she holds for the libraries. This is paired with the videos she releases as a publisher of books.
If you have a writing question, please feel free to ask and Amehana will find the time to make a video to answer your question if she hasn't already got one uploaded for that. Suggestions for books to review are also welcome. She does have a long reading list though, so it may take some time to obtain a copy of the book, read it, review it, and get to it in the posting lineup. An author or publisher may request Amehana to do a video review, and it such cases a copy of the book or a discount on ordering is extremely welcome.
The libraries currently being served are the Trotsdale Public Library in the Second Life sim of Trotsdale, the Luskwood readings, the ASA/Project Catfort Library (Sapientia Concha) in Computer, and Raglan Shire Libraryi. If you are a Second Life Library or writing group and are interested in this video resource please feel free to add a link to either this site or the Intersim Library grouping Youtube playlist grouping, then drop me a line so that I can add you to the list that is served.
The Trotsdale Library originally had the schedule of events posted routinely on the calendar of the Trotsdale.com and later Manelands.com website, which is now defunct. The administration of Manelands has all moved on to their new game, Crowfall and the Endless Vigil. Thus this site will be multipurposed to also host the events calendar for the libraries and to give people a place to touch base with the library from outside SL.
